On 15 and 16 September 2012, the whole town of Saint-Emilion embraced the festivities organised by the Jurade and the Saint-Emilion Wine Council. Relive the weekend that featured the magical marriage of wine and music!
On Saturday, the celebrations were launched by the famous Maltese tenor Joseph Calleja, a loyal friend of the Saint-Emilion Jurade with an outstanding recital in the Collegial Church.
The programme of arias by Tosti, Rossini, Bizet and Offenbach were rounded off with a cocktail party featuring Saint-Emilion wines at Château Clos Fourtet and the induction of celebrities, such as Henri Leconte, the former French professional tennis player.
On Sunday 16 September 2012, the Saint-Emilion Jurats proclaimed the harvest from the King’s Tower.

See the first Saint-Emilion Jazz Festival again! Saint-Emilion wines were extremely popular at the Wine Bar of the Festival Village, where visitors could enjoy a glass with jazz artists Jacky Terrasson and Yaron Herman, amongst others.
